A Pypilot plug-in is available for the free navigation software OpenCPN. With this plugin, you can fully control and configure our Autopilot directly from within the navigation program.
The interface is intuitive and largely self-explanatory. The available features correspond to those in the web interface, allowing you to easily switch between both control options.
After installation, you can command the autopilot to steer to a waypoint or any selected point on the map.
How it works:
Right-click on the desired location or an existing waypoint on the chart.
Choose “Navigate to Here”.
The selected point will appear as a blinking red-yellow marker on the map.
If the autopilot is active, it will automatically switch to GPS mode and adjust the course toward the selected point.
Right-click the waypoint again and choose “Delete” to remove it.
In OpenCPN, go to Options → Plugins.
Find the Pypilot plugin and click Install.
Check "Enable" to activate the plugin.
Click the sailboat icon in the toolbar to open the Pypilot interface.
Click Config and enter the IP address under Host (or your custom IP address):
192.168.14.1
Click on config and enter the ip address 192.168.14.1 at host
Do not check the box for "Forward NMEA".
