### Updating Firmware via the Emergency Page

If updating the firmware via the regular method (the [Maintenance](https://pcnautic.gitbook.io/autopilot/operate/web-interface-apps/maintenance) page) does not work, you can use the Emergency Firmware Update page. This page is specifically intended for situations where the standard update method fails.

**Steps for an emergency update:**

1. **Open the Emergency Firmware Update page.**\
You can access it by entering the following URL in your browser:\
   `http://<IP-adress-of-autopilot>/emergency`
2. **Select the firmware file (.tcz).**\
Click the ‘Choose File’ button and browse to the correct`.tcz`-file on your computer. This file is usually sent to you by email.
3. **Start the update.**\
Click ‘Upload and Update’ to upload the file and start the update process.
4. **Wait for the update to complete.**\
Do not interrupt this process. The system will automatically restart once the update is complete.

Note: Only use this method if the standard update procedure does not work. Make sure to use the correct firmware file to avoid damaging the system.
