# Garmin Connect IQ app

In addition, you can control the Autopilot directly from your wrist.

## Connection

Communication between the Pcnautic Autopilot and the Garmin smartwatch takes place via the Garmin Connect IQ app on your smartphone or tablet. You only need to activate Garmin Connect IQ in the settings of our Pcnautic App.

Only if you have multiple Garmin devices paired with Garmin Connect IQ will you need to manually select which Garmin device you want to use. This selection screen will automatically be displayed when required.

## **Main screen and controls**

The main screen of the Wear OS app features five control buttons, a green (virtual) LED, the current heading and target.

*Connection Status*\
When there is no active connection, the control buttons are shown in grey and cannot be operated.

As soon as the connection is established, the buttons return to their normal color and are automatically enabled. The Autopilot can then be controlled via the smartwatch.

*Status Indicator 🟢*

* Solid green → Autopilot is enabled.
* Blinking green → Tack mode is enabled.

*Buttons*

* TM ON/OFF button → Enables or disables Tack mode.
* STBY/AP button → Switches between Standby mode and Autopilot mode. This function is also available via the bottom button on the smartwatch.
* Red/Green buttons → Adjust the course or manually control the tiller. The rotating dial on the smartwatch provides the same functionality.

*Settings*

The Settings button opens a submenu with the following options:

* Mode → Select the desired AP mode: Compass, GPS, (True) Wind, Navigation.
* Profile → Activate the desired profile.
