Home Page

When you access the BoatController web interface at http://bc.pcnautic.com (or via the device's IP address), you'll see the home page with system information and quick access links.

System Information Card

The top section displays real-time system information:

Connection Information

This section shows all available network connection methods for accessing marine data services:

  • SignalK HTTP: WebSocket and REST API endpoints for SignalK data. Lists all IP addresses where SignalK is accessible, with clickable links. The address you're currently using is shown in bold.

  • SignalK TCP: TCP server connection details (IP address and port) for applications that connect via TCP rather than HTTP.

  • NMEA0183 TCP: TCP server for NMEA0183 data streams, showing IP address and port number.

You can use these addresses in your various apps like OpenCPN, Navionics, QtVlm, etc.

USB Mode

If the BoatController is connected via USB, this section displays the current USB mode:

  • Ethernet: USB appears as a network interface

  • NMEA0183 (automatic baudrate): USB appears as a serial port

Below the system information, you'll find four quick access cards:

Settings

Opens the Settings

Dashboard

Opens the SignalK dashboard (KIP interface) where you can view real-time marine data in a graphical format. For help on how this works, refer to the KIP documentationarrow-up-right.

SignalK (Advanced)

Opens the SignalK server web interface for advanced users. Refer to the SignalK documentationarrow-up-right for more information.

Autopilot

This card dynamically detects if a Pcnautic Autopilot is connected:

  • If detected: Shows a clickable card that opens the autopilot's web interface at http://pcnauticap.local

  • If not detected: Shows a grayed-out card indicating "Autopilot Not Detected" with the message "pcnauticap.local not found"

The autopilot detection happens automatically when the page loads. If you connect an autopilot after loading the page, refresh the page to see it appear.
