To exchange NMEA data between various devices or software, the NMEA device typically connects to the Autopilot’s NMEA data server. This is the standard method, as described under .

However, some NMEA devices do not support this approach. In such cases, the Autopilot must initiate the connection in order to receive NMEA data. In this setup, the Autopilot acts as an NMEA data client. An example of this is the Quark-elec QK-A032 converter.

To configure this:

  1. Go to → .

  2. Enter the 'IP address' and 'port number' of the NMEA device.

  3. Click 'Submit'. The Autopilot will then attempt to establish a connection and start receiving NMEA data.

Leave these fields empty if the other device does send data to the Autopilot on its own.
