Autopilot as NMEA data client

Some NMEA routers or systems do not accept NMEA data sent from the Autopilot. In that case, the Autopilot must reach out to the other system to receive NMEA data — this is called working as an NMEA data client. This applies, for example, to the Quark-elec QK-A032 NMEA Converter.

Even though the Autopilot is connected to the WiFi network, this does not automatically mean that NMEA data is being exchanged.

You can configure the Autopilot as an NMEA data client under the NMEA data clients section on the WiFi / Network Config page. Enter the IP address and port number of the relevant NMEA system and click 'Submit'. The Autopilot will then attempt to establish the NMEA data connection.

If another device sends NMEA data to the Autopilot, leave the IP and port fields empty.
