Connecting a Simrad MFD via ethernet

  1. Enable the Autopilot’s ethernet DHCP server

    1. Open the page.

    2. In Ethernet mode, choose 'DHCP Server' and click Submit.

  2. Physically connect the devices • Plug a standard ethernet cable from the Simrad MFD (e.g., NSS12 evo3) into the Autopilot’s ethernet USB adapter.

  3. Verify the IP lease • Refresh the page • The Simrad’s hostname and IP address should appear under .

  4. Add the Simrad as an NMEA data client

    1. On the page enter the Simrad’s IP address and Port 10110.

    2. Click Submit.

  5. Connection is established The Autopilot now should receive NMEA 0183 sentences.

Limitation: Simrad MFDs transmit NMEA 0183 over Ethernet but do not accept incoming NMEA 0183 data.
